"A decent motel with a great view."
IMHO other reviews are too harsh. It's a motel, so people should set their expectations accordingly. My requirements: (1) clean, (2) spacious enough, (3) proper creature comforts like heat and a/c, and (4) a well-working WiFi is a nice-to-have. Redclyffe is satisfactory in these criteria. And it far exceeds in the "view" category. You can open the windows in the morning, and gaze at the water while sipping your morning coffee. Top notch hotels would kill for a view like this. Yes it is quite dated, and the floors are a bit uneven, but aside from being noticeable it wasn't a problem. And like other reviews said, the king size bed is quite firm, so if you're not into firm mattresses then you may have an issue. We slept quite well. Bed linens are perfectly clean, and blankets totally fine. Paint on main building's exterior is peeling, which is unattractive but to be expected given its direct exposure to storms rolling in from the ocean. They are currently working on replacing the siding. This place has interesting architectural details, so hopefully it will soon be restored to its former glory. The one disappointment was that the restaurant is currently closed due to lack of cooking staff, but we didn't come here to sit in the motel 24 hours a day. We came here to explore the beautiful (and I should emphasize BEAUTIFUL) northern Maine coast, so finding a place to eat isn't a big deal. Eastport is 20 minutes away, which is a visit that I highly recommend.

"Good location, fantastic view!"
We stayed here for just one night (2 adults, 2 kids) while we were passing through from Toronto to Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is not a high end hotel, but it was perfect for what we needed. Room was very clean and comfortable. The pleasant surprise for me was that we had an amazing ocean view, with a little patio/balcony to enjoy the scenery! I didn't realize this when I was booking the room, but all their rooms face the ocean, so you can't go wrong with that. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pretty much everything we needed was within walking distance, so that was very convenient. Parking was free and they even allowed us to keep our car in their lot after we checked out because we had a whale watching excursion on the day of our check out, but had to check out first. They also had a nice indoor pool, but because we were only there for one night we didn't have time to use the facilities. The one thing I didn't like was that the walls were pretty paper thin. We could hear our neighbours quite easily. Fortunately we didn't have noisy neighbours and were only there for one night, otherwise this might have been irritating. Overall, I was happy with the property.

"Very nice motel in great location "
Clean, well equipped and comfortable place to stay while visiting St. Andrews. Although on the edge of town, we were still within walking distance of the downtown area. We were greeted in a very warm welcoming way and given a bit of history of the town as well. Very enjoyable experience.

Edmunds is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Edmunds, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Edmunds hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
