There are a lot of nice little boutique hotels in Greece. This is NOT one of them. The facility itself is very nice. Some unwitting investor obviously dumped a dumped a lot of money into this place. However the people running it are clueless. I think I saw the lady at the front desk smile ONCE...in three days! Might have been a nasty smirk...not sure. What a stark contrast to the place we checked into today (ATHENS SOFITEL AT THE AIRPORT), where we were greeted by a smiling young man, saying, "Kalos Irthate" (Welcome in Greek)! Our room was at the back of the complex so there was no “beach view” or anything of the sort. Just behind us was a construction site…so we were woken up every morning at 7:00AM by jackhammers and other such noise. At 9:00AM the noise went away…must have been break time. The breakfast buffet was atrocious…really bad. After the first morning, we went into town every day to find a decent meal instead. During two of the three nights, we had virtually NO WATER PRESSURE. On the third day (middle of the day) it magically changed. ...but the beach was nice. I’d definitely go elsewhere…at the prices they charge, this place is a complete rip off. PS Following this and one other crappy hotel from HOTELS.COM, I will no longer be using that service. I'm convinced the ratings are completely bogus...compromised by BOTS somehow.

Very nice property. Very clean. Nice size room and excellent buffet breakfast. One of a few hotels with a pool in the area. Nice small pebble beach area with loungers. This resort reminded me of some of the smaller 5 star resorts in the Caribbean that we stayed at. Only recommendation would be to supply clothing irons to all rooms instead of requesting same.

Very Relaxing Stay

Great stay. Lovely hotel and great location. The buffet breakfast is terrific, especially for Greece. The beach chair reservation was easy. I can't wait to go back!

A gem of a hotel.

This hotel is a real gem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is small and modern with the beach just across the road. It is a very quiet location and is an ideal spot for a relaxing break. Their Covid-19 precautions were very good. We will definitely be returning.

Not a 4 star....

The rooms are tired looking and in need of renovation. They did not have pads or pensils, wash cloths, tissue boxes, no dresser (only a closet), not even a clock radio...! Breakfast buffet was truly terrible. They offered oily greasy eggs and bacon in non-heated warming trays. As the result of age, our bed had two deep craters (not very comforting to our backs)! House keeping was very inconsistent and certainly not the cleanest! Upon our return to the room on afternoon, our bed was not fully made. Since I could not locate the housekeeper, I inquired at reception. The next morning the housekeeper confronted us not by apologizing for forgetting to make the bed, but was upset with us as to why we complained. We would have moved to another resort had there been availability..,, We are done with this place!

Personnel at this resort were extremely friendly and helpful. They made our stay a memorable one. The town needs to put asphalt on the dusty road in front of the hotel. Make sure you eat at this hotel as the food is excellent and you will be impressed with their breakfast. This resort is one of the best we have been at ... clean, comfortable and caters to your every need.

Beautiful resort on the water. The weather was not nice while we were there, but you could swim at the beach 80 meters away or pool. Very nice resort, if a little pricey.

Very good beach hotel with helpful staff.

We stayed five nights at Thirides in late September and found it to be a very restful hotel. The buffet breakfast was extensive and we enjoyed two fine evening meals in the hotel restaurant. The extensive sandy beach/sea is just 100 metres away across a gravel road, (with the hotel's sun-loungers and umbrellas). We found Thirides to be an excellent base for touring the Mani. We also went to Monemvasia - one hour's drive away.

lovely hotel

hotel was great opposite beach with good breakfast...parking not private and is where people park for beach. room was lovely but balcony a little small for us both to sit with the table..maybe smaller table or chairs. staff were very pleasant and friendly. barbeque on fri was great surprise and lovely plate if meats.

Beautiful Thirides Beach Hotel

Stayed for 5 nights, greeted and helped almost before we crossed into the property! Young and very professional attentive staff. Great breakfasts and beautiful restaurant meals. Healthy snacks given with drinks and a very lovely atmosphere which made us only too happy to spend most of our time on and around the hotel, forget the sightseeing! Would go back tomorrow!

Lovely friendly hotel

Great hotel with warm friendly staff and close to seafront. The room we stayed in had great views of the sea with balcolny and great air conditioning. A great breakfast buffet style albeit the hot food element didnt stay warm for long as it was not kept in a heated container. However the rest of the breakfast offerrings were great with delicious home made preserves great on the Greek yoghurt. Would definately recommend a stay and hope to go again in the future
