Eagles Mere Vacation Packages

The hotel continues to disappoint. This time there was no hot water to shower. I was really surprised to be told that there is no maintenance staff working on the weekend. Strange that on the busiest days of the week, they have no staff to address these problems. Eventually was able to pack up my things and move to a room on another floor to shower (which they hilariously asked me to make sure I didn’t touch anything outside the bathroom in the new room). The property is absolutely gorgeous, so it is always shocking to see how poorly it is run. Expect a really pretty room and overall atmosphere, but anything beyond that is always hit or miss at the Nittany Lion.

Easy check in and clean place

The location was very nice. It was close enough to the highway but off the road so you did not hear the highway noise. Parking with convenient. The room is adequate. The sink is in a separate area from the toilet and shower. However, the room with the toilet and shower is very small. Parking was very convenient. The breakfast was OK. It seemed that they did not have any juice available. Also, they could probably use more help in the morning, keeping the trash emptied in the breakfast area. I do have a concern that happened at check-in. I was asked to verify the information on the screen in front of me, but it was not my information. It was for a guest who was checking in with another agent. It appears that the other guest did not read and verified the information since he signed for my stay. I read the screen in front of me and did not sign for the other guest. To me this was a privacy issue because I saw his name, address, how long he was staying, etc. I’m sure if he had read the screen he would’ve seen all my information also. Also, the agents were announcing room numbers as they handed keys to guests. I believe it’s common practice to let the guest know the room number is written on the folder with the keys inside and not to announce it.
