Really liked my stay here. The room is good sized, comfortable and modern furnishings. Room with a balcony is very nice to have -- great view of the river. Location is close to the light rail train, so easy and quick to get to the city center. Bar/restaurant downstairs is very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Not great for the price

This was our first hotel we stayed in Dublin. The price was almost $450 for one night on the weekend. It was overpriced and our room was a bit run down. It was not one one the nicer hotels in Dublin. Didn't take any pics of it because I was not impressed for the price.

Lovely stay!

My mum and I were staying down for a musical and the Spencer was just perfect location for what we needed. The staff at check in were lovely and very helpful. Our room was very clean and tidy, the bathroom had lovely Rituals toiletries, a lovely surprise!! The only downside for us, was we couldn’t locate the hotel car parking so we ended up using a car park nearby, but not a major thing. Would definitely return to the Spencer!

Left a lot to be desired

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, it left a lot to be desired. Right from the beginning, the atmosphere felt a bit off. The walls and doors seemed to hint that the hotel wanted to be something special, but it just didn't deliver. It felt outdated, like it was stuck in a past era. When we checked in, the front desk staff wasn’t very friendly. We stood there for a little while, with four employees behind the desk, and not one of them greeted us. Instead, we were just told to wait, which was a bit disappointing. A warm welcome goes a long way, and we didn’t get that here. On a positive note, the bed and some of the furniture looked like they had been updated, so that was a slight improvement. But overall, considering the price we paid, I don’t think we’d choose to stay here again. There are just too many other options that offer a better experience.
