We booked a Deluxe King room but ended up staying in a VERY tiny Queen room with no air circulation and low ceilings. The original room they booked us in was facing the bar next door and very loud. Since we had a flight to catch early the next morning, we didn’t want to deal with the noise. Very unfair that they charged us almost $500 for the Deluxe King room anyway. The room we stayed in was suffocating as there wasn’t any air circulation and the thermostat was broken. Will not be staying here again.

The property rooms on one side back onto the rear of the pubs on Baggot Street. Which is the smoking area, so on on a Saturday night you get about 150 people drinking and chatting right outside your room. Not great. I contacted the hotel in advance to ensure my room was twin bedded. Was reassured it was and they would ensure it was. It wasn’t, we did get moved quickly but seriously 5 star?

Exceptional hotel

I received the warmest welcome. The staff were amazing from the onset. Haven’t been to a hotel which such amazing staff like it. Room was fabulous, so plush. Dinner was very good and breakfast was scrumptious. A great selection. Looking forward to my next visit.

As it’s a bit further out than some of the big name Dublin hotels, it’s in a quieter area with the minimum of traffic so I had a perfect nights sleep each night: no drunken shouting at 3 in the morning like some of the hotels I’ve stayed in in Temple Bar and near Grafton Street. My only issue with the location is it a good ten minute walk to St. Stephen’s Green, so be prepared to do a lot of walking or book taxis.
