We had an absolutely wonderful stay at mVillas Tamarindo! From the moment we arrived, the villa was beautiful, comfortable and exactly what our family needed for our Costa Rica vacation. We especially loved having our own private pool and plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The villa was a perfect home base for us while exploring Tamarindo, going on excursions, enjoying the beach and spending quality time together as a family. The location was convenient, the surroundings were peaceful, and we truly felt at home during our stay. Some of our favorite moments were simply being together at the villa, relaxing by the pool and enjoying the beautiful Costa Rican atmosphere. Our family left with so many wonderful memories, and mVillas was a big part of the experience. We would definitely recommend it to families or groups visiting Tamarindo and would happily stay again. The majority of the staff were incredibly kind, courteous and hardworking. However, we want to identify the following for improvements based on our experience. Housekeeping Staff: There were serious lapses in the behavior of these staff members. They helped themselves to our bottled water which was very unprofessional and rude. There were lapses in the items that they were suppose to refill in our room, and despite us calling the front desk multiple times, nobody showed up. We would usually find them frolicking in the hallways with each other.

Super clean with helpful staff and great food.

Our room was nice and spacious but lacking the basics such as cups/mugs, face towels, and bath mats. We had to frequently request for these items. The place is so very charming and the staff are amazing!! However the lack of food options (with no snacks in between meals, especially for young children) was a big problem. They also ran out of alcohol and had no dessert for 2 nights. If they improve on a few things, I would definitely consider returning!

Our stay at this resort was truly unforgettable. The villa rooms were absolutely gorgeous and the private pool with sunset view every evening was absolutely unbelievable. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. I have never experienced such genuinely amazing service. All were great but Cesar specifically, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, cared for, and truly special. Their warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality made our stay even more memorable. I was so sad to leave them. We wanted to take them back home with us because they were just such kind hearted people.

SOLO TRAVELER REVIEW OMG where do I even begin. this place is indeed as wonderful as it looks and as amazing as the other reviews state it is. the staff all knew me by name literally within the first day. this hotel has an energy that allows your nervous system to completely relax. the aesthetics, the lighting, the music. as a solo traveler without a vehicle, the shuttle was perfect, it leaves from the hotel every hour on the hour from 8am-6pm and it has I think 5 stops around guiones and playa pelada. I also walked a lot which was fine and took lots of tuk tuks! (local "taxis"). The daily yoga classes were so lovely and grounding, and wonderful for all levels, even beginners. The daily breakfast was great, lots of options, and the included OJ was 10/10. Overall this hotel exceeded all my expectations and thank you to all the staff! Only thing I could say is that I wish the staff had name tags because they all remembered my name but I could not remember all theirs : )
