Hotel on Cathedral Avenue and easy to find if coming from Perth. For some reason it was much harder to find when coming from Exmouth direction on Highway 1.
Room standard was excellent. We were in Room 16 which is like a motel room with parking directly outside. It was also quiet. A few days later when we returned, we were in an upstairs room which was just as clean and well equipped although slightly smaller and could hear road noise. Since we are both a bit old, we found it hard taking our luggage up a flight of 17 stairs. Upstairs rooms only sleep 3, motel-type rooms sleep 4, in one double and two single beds. The Emerald Room restaurant was good for evening meal, reasonable choice on menu. Breakfast was described as 'continental', but there were no croissants. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, as were staff in the restaurant. Good stay overall.

Was so looking forward to staying here, to receive a phone call when 30mins driving away to inform us that the bed configuration that I had booked three months earlier was not what we were getting. Travelling with two National swimmers, who need their comfort and sleep, either had to share a king double bed or have one each while I had a rollout bed. There was an offer to move us after the first night, but after an evening training session, cooking a meal then heading off to bed for an early start that we wouldn't be back until early evening, was put in the too hard basket for us, so, after a lengthily discussion, we decided to stay put. Great apartment, but lacking in cooking equipment, one fry pan, no lid and a tiny saucepan, no tongs or slotted spoons.....really had to improvise to cook our pasta!

This hotel had wonderful staff and exceptional food in the Restuarant. The down side was slightly dated rooms and we are not used to being asked to empty our own bins and do all dishes when staying at this standard of hotel.
