Impressed when opened the door. Lobby was inviting. Like stepping back in time perfect for a romantic hideaway comfey beds excellent. Loved the double vanity in bathroom. Room was perfect for lounging in front of fireplace. Sad no room service. Will be my choice. Anytime in Des Moines

Spa area didn’t seems as clean as we would have liked (film build up on sides of spa, wet sauna smelled musty) but spa had lots of nice equipment to work out. Locker rooms were locked (needed a passcode) which was odd.

Fun downtown hotel stay

From the minute we walked in all the staff were very friendly, answered our questions. The hotel is pretty unique with an eclectic collection of decor. Loved it. The lamp lady in our room was an awesome surprise.

The hotel is very unique and we loved all the decor. Check in/out was super easy and the front desk staff were super nice. Only complaint is in the bathroom on the bottom towel shelf and on the shower chair, we did have visible “pubic” hair.

Gem in Des Moines

Wonderful choice for our time in Des Moines. The hotel feels old school but at the same time modern. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bar was fantastic and service was great. Would definitely seek this hotel out for a future stay.
