While the staff attempted to be friendly, there was a lot of instances where keys just stopped working, loud maintenance work, and the rooms were just so-so. It may be better to just stay in Brookings, SD and drive to De Smet vs staying here.

Pool slide was broken no one mentioned it until arrival, biggest reason for booking... Had the verdant thermostat's which couldn't be changed front desk tried to call maintenance no response from them. Ended up getting the window to open for cool air. Too be fair the staff on duty did try to help ...

My Place Hotel - Brookings, SD
This was probably the fourth time I stayed at this hotel. It's always clean and the staff treats you right. I will most likely stay here again the next time I'm in Brookings.
