Amazing hotel, one of the best we stayed at during our time in Vietnam. Will preface that laundry is included but with a service fee and charge depending on weight. Breakfast and rooms/bathrooms were absolutely superb otherwise :)

Excellent emplacement, à quelques pas seulement de la plage. Le personnel s’est montré serviable et a organisé pour nous le transport et l’achat de billets pour Ba Na Hills à un tarif très raisonnable. Le petit-déjeuner, en revanche, s’est avéré plutôt décevant, tant par son manque de variété que par la qualité. Malgré cela, l’expérience globale fut très agréable!

Hotel was great. Arranged a driver to pick us up from airport. Super friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. 2 blocks from beach and tons of dining options. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Buffet had good selection of Asian and breakfast cuisine. Have stayed at Sunny Ocean twice now and will return again.

Fair play

Rooms are very clean. We had booked a shuttle to take us to Hoi An & marble Mountain and they end up charging us a surcharge while stopping off at the coconut Grove. We argued with the Front Desk because this is literally in the same area with no major deviation and they charged us an extra $12 surcharge for that. We paid for the surcharge, however they very unhappy. In the end they recovered from this fiasco by giving us a courtesy ride to the airport

4 out of 5 stars. Staff very friendly. Generally very clean except the elevators. We got a deluxe room on the 9th floor with a very nice view of the beach. Room was comfy with good beds but was a bit dated with older wood panelling. Shower height for short people. Good water pressure and always hot. Most hotels in Vietnam have a dedicated doorman but Sunny Ocean didn’t always have someone on the door for assistance. Pool was nice and warm and clean (but needs an upgrade as some tiles are loose and surrounding glass fencing is old). Bar staff were excellent. The Hotel is perfectly located near the beach and lots of shops, restaurants and coffee houses. Hotel buffet breakfast was included, they were a bit short on fruit and hot coffee but made great eggs to order. Overall a good choice as it’s a great value and close to everything.

The room was comfortable and breakfast was well prepared. The beach and restaurants are walkable from the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and arranged local tours. Cleaning staff was good and dependable. In the bar, Mateo, Sarah and Danish made excellent margaritas!

To start with. Car was booked at arrival but no show. Checked in a room smaller than a shoe box with no windows . Ordered room service 845pm to be told kitchen closes at 9pm. Yet we asked for food q5 minutes before close off. Wanted to change money and they could not change more tha AUD 100 for the shockingly low price. Exchange rate offered was d1625/dollar lower. Requested for 1 extra hour for check out but were declined and room's electricity was switched off. Upon request they transferred us to a decent room for the rest of stay other than shocking first night. They did offer a complimentary departure transfer though. Very mixed feelings about this property. Obviously language is a barrier. Trying another proposal booked directly by us for further experience
