Beautiful rooms in a wonderful setting. The long walking distances and stairs to get around were limiting for my handicapped wife. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay.
When we first booked, did not realize it was tied to cruise line and their ‘land tours’. This was the 3rd one we stayed at on our trip. Rooms were nice and very large. Very cool that they have wood burning fire places and supply wood. Only drawback is no fridges.
Resort seemed to have lots of walking paths and had outside games and nice patio overlooking river.
Our family enjoys walking - was quite a hill climb to get to our room.
Property was nice- but it is tired to the Princess tour group. Which was my fault that I did not realize that. A lot of people and very couded when it came to meal time
It was so peaceful and had beautiful grounds. Many wildflowers and several paths on the property were just gorgeous. There is fishing and rafting nearby. The scenery is stunning.
Beautiful place and would stay there again. The only problem was that the cable TV has not been fixed yet. You can see the image on TV but no sound. We stayed there 6 months ago and the same issue continues.
We arrived late in the evening and check in was quick and easy. Room was very nice..liked that we had the wood stove option to keep warm. Didn’t like that the only way to access wifi was in the lobby which even at late night check in (after 10pm) had all the lounge seats full of people. The same issue in the morning..it was 8am and all seats were full with guests milling around with lots of luggage.
Serene, quiet. Would visit again. Staff were friendly, helpful. Room could've been cleaned while we were out. On one hand, they may have assumed that since we didn't need service the day prior we wouldn't the next day. On the other hand, we could've requested too or brought to their attention lack of room service. Otherwise, totally recommend.
Hands down favorite lodge to stay at. Cabins are very nice with a wood burning stove (plenty of wood provided), a porch, and amazing views of the mountain. Restaurant and bar on-site have great food. Path down to the Kenai River. Not far from Kenai National Wildlife Refuge for bear viewing and hiking trails. This was my second stay and it will be an annual trip from Fairbanks for me.
Stayed only one night. The Lodge was nice and clean. The property is well maintained which is not so common in Alaska. The cabin rooms were spacious. But the price was on the high side. Would book somewhere else more affordable if to return for a longer stay.
I went to check in and I was asked to check back in after 3:30 PM. When I came back to check in I stood waiting patiently for my turn. Another couple rushed up to the counter ahead of me and yet again I waited. Not a very efficient check in.
