Beautiful city and great location. Nice quaint hotel. Able to use city buses to downtown area. Finding parking could be an issue depending on the time of day.

The first day: we arrived to find out that both rooms that we booked had, attention - extremely dirty toilet closets. We had only a weekend trip, why would it be even a problem for such a premium hotel to give rooms in these conditions to guests? After I reported that the toilet in my room had an issue, the staff acted as if it wasn’t a big deal. Instead of apologizing or focusing on resolving it, I was given a lecture about how difficult it had been to clean the toilet. To make matters worse, around midnight that same day, the shower stopped working completely, leaving me unable to use it. At checkout, I reported both the toilet and shower issues again, expecting someone to offer some level of compensation. The receptionist’s first response was, “This is not possible.” I asked, “What do you mean? Are you saying I’m lying?” The reply was, “Sorry, I’m not going to argue. I’ll call the cleaning manager.” When the cleaning manager arrived, they immediately confirmed that both issues had indeed existed. Despite that, the only compensation the receptionist offered was a free drink. The problems themselves were frustrating, but the way they were handled was even worse. My concerns were dismissed, I was effectively made to feel as though I wasn’t telling the truth until a manager confirmed the issues, and the hotel’s solution was simply a free drink. This is definitely something that I would never expend from a high-end swiss hotel. Never again.
