I loved everything in Cartagena. The Hyatt Regency is an excellent hotel, from the service in the lobby, the pool, the restaurant, to the room service. I want to thank the entire staff, especially Oscar and Antonio in the restaurant, as well as Dina and Daniel in the lobby, and some other girls there whose names I don't remember, but they are all special and extremely attentive. The team was very welcoming and helpful, Daniel was amazing checking in my daughter and her boyfriend, their 1st time in Cartagena and gave my husband and I very important important information while checking us out! At the restaurant, Shirley was an outstanding waitress!! Overall a great experience. One of our recommendations is for the Hyatt to invest on replacing the rooms’s refrigerators as they just don’t work…we were at a Hyatt earlier this year in Cancun, MX and unfortunately experienced the same problem.

The hotel never even notified us that the ENTIRE 12th floor was closed which is where the whole action is . Also the room was not properly cleaned as far as the tub and carpeting was dirty. Over all terrible experience since we been there 5 times already.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel this year one week each time. The hotel is a great location 10 minutes from the historic center… the staff is really incredible!! You can sense that the people are happy working here and are very proud of what they do. Gabriela at the front desk is very friendly and welcoming… Clara and Shirley and Yulieta in the restaurant are equally very attentive to every guest and everyone makes an attempt to learn your name, which is nice. The breakfast buffet is excellent and Andrea makes a wonderful omelette. Five stars.
