"Very comfortable, great location"
I was very comfortable here, lovely bed, towels and plenty of hot water. Fabulous views. Only 5 mins walk from the new town and 10 mins from the old city. I would stay there again.

"Grand hotel, needs restoring to former glory."
On arrival the hotel looks quite spectacular however inside the chain it belongs to have overlooked the fact it is a beautiful period building. It needs investment to restore and furnish it appropriately, rooms are basic and lack character. Not a bad experience but could have been much better.

"Bright, modern hotel, a bit far from La Cite"
Very happy with hotel condition, facilities and staff. Other reports had indicated that hotel is 15-20 minutes walk from La Cite but it's at least 20 and not through an interesting part of Carcassonne, so walk can get a bit tedious if staying more than a couple of days. Our party of 4, pretty fit, 65+ year olds resorted to getting a taxi in on a couple of evenings - cost approx €13. Few places to eat in immediate vicinity. Didn't eat dinner in hotel. Food is reputed to be good but restaurant area lacks ambience - fine for breakfast.

"Great location, spotless, comfortable & friendly "
Our room wasn't huge but plenty big enough and finished to a high standard. Make sure you learn how to set the AC before your first night though. The bed is large and comfortable the room is spotlessly clean and the glass wall into the bathroom makes it all seem larger that it actually is. The staff are very helpful, outside the seating area is very comfortable with stunning views of the walled city. We didn't try the pool but it did look inviting and it also was very clean. The breakfast and 24 hour bar aren't the cheapest you can find but thats perhaps to be expected. I would say the only small niggle I can think about is the lack of mini-bar or complementary mineral water in the room but at least you can order anything from the bar at any time.

"Pit stop on way to other accommodation"
We had a car so it suited us to stay on the outskirts. Some supermarkets nearby. Lovely boulangerie close by. We had breakfast here, plus it is open on Sunday morning. We were lucky to have a kitchenette (fridge, microwave & sink), which we had not expected when we booked. Would stay here again prior to a departure at Carcassonne airport.

"Autumn Carcassone trip"
Many positives for this hotel including cheap as chips, very central, ten minutes walk in each direction to the station and the medieval city, a short walk to the main shopping area. Our room was very clean and not noisy as we were at the rear. The facilities are very 'french' - basic, small and unfussy. The central heating was welcome in the chilly mornings and evenings. Carcassone is in the hills and can also be very windy. The staff of one was really cheerful and helpful. We opted for breakfast which is competitive with nearby bars and cafes at 6 euros for bread croissants jam cereal coffee cheese yogurt. The bread is very fresh. The bathroom had a washbasin, shower and bidet, all very small but functional and clean. We spoke to people who had spent a lot more per night at local hotels and decided that this one, whilst far from lavish, gives really good value for money and is ideally located

"This hotel is a gem"
My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with thoughtful inclusions such as a hairdryer, desk and chair, and bathroom toiletries. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and carried my luggage to my food for me. They provided a breakfast for those who wanted it. The location was central, an easy walk from the train station and to the town centre, the tourist office and the canal du midi.

Carcassonne is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Carcassonne, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Carcassonne hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
