"Great home base to explore Prince Edward County!"
We stayed at the Montrose for a long weekend exploring the County. The Inn is in a beautiful, well-maintained Century home with adorable details everywhere. The innkeeper Suzette is incredibly welcoming and sweet, without being intrusive. She made sure we had everything we needed and always seemed to appear just when we needed her, while giving us our privacy and space. We loved our room and enjoyed coming back for a nap after a day of wine tasting. The washroom is shared with 1 other room, which is fairly common for B&Bs and wasn't an issue at all. There is an extra washroom downstairs if it was occupied. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Crepes and fruit parfait the first day, omelettes, muffins, and fruit the second, along with our choice of coffee or tea. Bottled water was available in a mini-fridge in the hall (where you can also store a bottle of wine if you want to have a drink!) It's located in Belleville, which is about a 30 minute drive from the wineries and small towns that make up Prince Edward County (Picton, Bloomfield, Wellington). The B&Bs in the towns were all booked and very expensive, so we didn't mind the drive. The County is pretty spread out, so you end up driving a fair bit anyway. We really enjoyed our stay!

"Welcoming and Comfortable"
The staff was very friendly. Our only concern was with housekeeping. The first full day was not too bad but the second day the beds looked like it the bedding was just thrown back on and the pillows were strewn all over the bed. One pillow had an indent that looked as though someone had laid down on it although that could have been caused by a hand. The bathroom did not feel as though it had been wiped down. The soiled linens were removed but not all replaced. Other than this, we enjoyed out stay. The breakfast was enjoyable.

"It's an Inn - more of a BnB than a Hotel"
We were looking for a quiet comfortable place to stay in this area and we definitely found it. The Inn itself is almost 200 years old - mostly used for weddings and receptions - beautifully and spectacularly renovated with a small cafe/bar open during the day (and for our delicious included continental braakfast) on weekends. Room was warm and comfortable, tv past generation but it worked and dvd's were provided if preferred to Johnny Carson on the cable!! We were the only guests, staying in their accommodation next door to the Inn. Not surprising - it is mid-March not exactly high season. Monique the manager could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We'll definitely be back for another visit.

Brighton is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Brighton, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Brighton hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
