Dont Stay Here......

The hotel can be forgiven for its basic style, as this is essentially what you already know at the time of booking. The customer service however is completely appalling! The lady that checked us in, absolutely could not care the tiniest about you, and would be so out of her personality to make you feel the smallest bit welcome.....it was pretty shocking, and i'd only really come to expect something similar from a hostile country, not Germany! Talking of hostile, please be mindful that this hotel is situated right opposite the central train station, and you will be 100% surrounded by very distasteful characters that surround the hotel.....and the atmosphere here because of this is very low. Many groups of hooded men of all backgrounds are standing on every corner, and on an evening, after all the main trains have been and gone, that is literally all you see on the streets.....its an eye opener! We travelled as a family with a child, and i wouldnt recommend it at all!

The hotel was easy to find from the main train station, and was within easy walking distance (or take the metro) from the Altstadt. The room was very basic (even compared to other IBIS Budget hotel rooms). The bed was in a corner, so that one had to crawl down to the foot of the bed if you wanted to get out of bed. Not enough space to move the bed to ease this problem. Breakfast was poor. The bread that was placed out for toasting was clearly days old and some of the slices had mold growing on them.

Cons-homeless and suspicious activity right outside door to hotel. AC did not work 1st night, no maintenance on site. New room 2nd night, toilet and tub did not drain properly. No where to put clothes. Pros-clean, staff friendly, decent breakfast.

Rooms are clean, soundproof windows- can’t hear the noice from the street. Excellent location- transport links right in front of the hotel. Some of the staff are very friendly some not. Rooms a very basic but clean. No wardrobe or shelf to put your clothes. It’s good for a very short stay 1 -2 nights max.

Super convenient. It is across street from the train station with DM and REWE next door and tons of restaurants around. It is also walking distance to the shopping area. I loved my room that over looked the train station. It was amazing view at night. Would love to stay there again for sure. P.s. Staff were extremely nice.
