Would highly recommend the Lodge @ Breck. We were booked for 3 nights stay, however, on the night before we arrived we ended up in ER with altitude sickness. Mark at the front desk was extremely helpful, trying to give us tips on how to overcome symptoms. The general manager was gracious to allow us to check out early since we were still not feeling normal. Also want to give a shout out to Wyatt (shuttle driver) & Jesus (breakfast cook) who also went above and beyond in their service to make us feel welcomed. Cannot say enough good about the staff!!

Not a place for older people so many stairs. Internet was not working and so inconvenient for us. Views were wonderful from the room if you upgrade. Feel that the price was a little steep for the amenities we received.

Dishonest Hidden Fees, Low Quality Breakfast

Hotels.com says the charge includes ALL fees and taxes, but this is not true. No matter where you read, there is no mention of the $31.91 per night fee they charge you when you arrive. The only place it is mentioned is the fine print in an email you receive AFTER you book. The fee covers all the stuff that comes with any other hotel. Also, the breakfast was low quality. The scrambled eggs were watery and looked like they came from a powdered mix. Copied from the fine print in my confirmation emai: You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the property. This hotel was so beautiful! The property and rooms were very clean, and the views around the property were spectacular. Our room also had its own little balcony which was so nice—my dog LOVED that. We had a nice little fridge and a coffeemaker, and the bathroom had a hair dryer and plenty of towels. The staff was so kind and they were available 24/7. I brought my pup with me and I was happy to see a ton of other guests with dogs too. They have a nice area outside to take your pet to use the bathroom, and there are places to sit and some outdoor games (I believe there was a cornhole setup). My only issue was the AC—my room was pretty warm, which was a little concerning for my dog because she’s a Frenchie and short nosed breeds are prone to breathing trouble and overheating, but she did ok after I left the window open and kept the box fan on high the entire time. I believe they said the AC issue was a temporary situation so not all rooms have AC right now. That’s the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, but other than that we had a great time and we will be back! I forgot to grab pics of the room but it was very clean. I did grab some pics of the views around the property, our balcony, the little sitting area for pets, and the deck area with the hot tubs and more seating.
