Great location and amenities. Friendly But understaffed, and limited in usefulness. Room maintenance was by request only, and only way to ask for it was going to front desk and talking to them directly. No phone in rooms. Also - had an issue with my room that I brought up to management, and instead of offering a solve I was challenged on the validity of my statement. It was good for what we needed, but I would not stay here again based on general upkeep of property & helpfulness of staff. Was an ok place, but not for the price point I paid.

Hotel was a little outdated. Also, there was no Coffee available in the morning.

My wife and I really enjoyed spending July 4th weekend at Gilded. Terrific boutique hotel in the heart of Newport, about a 10 minute walk to the main area of Thames Street and the Wharf. In the other direction, you can walk to the mansions in about 15-20 minutes too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was super easy. Breakfast was also very nice each morning. We will definitely book again the next time we go to Newport.

Amazing funky hotel perfectly placed on one of the most beautiful islands.
