Gross bathroom

Parking was easy. I checked in late due to a flight delay and struggled because the front desk was closed. Someone did respond via text very quickly though and they gave me a map which was nice. The room was decent and you could tell that it was remodeled. The bathroom, however, was disgusting. It smelled really bad and the floors were clearly not redone as they were very old vinyl-looking tile dots that were dirty and moldy. One walk into the bathroom left us with really dirty socks. Yuck! None of the pictures have that room’s bathroom which would lead me to believe that only some of them are done being remodeled. Overall, the bathroom experience overtook any other positive experience.

The room was spacious and the added feature of the fireplace made it very inviting. Our room overlooked the water and we enjoyed watching the boats while drinking our coffee in the morning. Definitely a highlight on our trip. Convenient location and easy parking. We’ll be back!

Room wasn’t clean. Staff wasn’t helpful. I paid for two nights and left after the first night. The room had an overpowering smell of some type of Febreeze like odor. Even though I would lose money, or pay for a room and not use it,I left. I went to the Bodega Lodge and had a great experience. I only wish I had picked that first.

No extra toilet paper , no soap , had to retrieve soap at front desk . Too late to get toilet when we noticed . Dogs next to us barked for 2 hours , called 2 x people took there time getting back to there room , then kept slamming their door and yelled something at us . No screens on windows ( liability) Child could fall out window . Upon booking complete miss information from everyone I talked with , front desk receptionist was very pleasant . Hotel has potential but isn’t quite work the money they charge to stay .

The Hotel Dega was clearly just refurbished and/or under new management since the pictures of the outside on Expedia were outdated compared to what was there. The updated look was great! The room was clean, however, the bathrooms could use more diligent cleaning since the entire floor was tile which led into the shower. Unfortunately, due to a likely short staff situation, the concierge was available via text, but the delivery of items was very untimely. We had an accident that led to needing a new comforter and top sheet which took over 24 hours to be delivered after half a dozen messages made to the staff. Parking was easy to navigate, free of charge and due to the hotel’s location, many things were within walking distance. I would stay here again since every room has a patio and the room itself was larger than many standard hotel rooms!

Front desk staff very nice, attentive, informational, pleasant. Both ladies greeted me with a smile and thanked me for choosing to stay with you all. Room spacious and clean. Fireplace makes it feel even more cozy. Appreciated Kureg coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Hot water is awesome (very hot) so showering was very nice. No key cards all by code. Pet friendly. The only downside from visiting Bodega Bay was there wasn’t many breakfast areas to eat. Dega Hotel needs to remove breakfast included off the website.

Check-in was a breeze, and the front desk gal was an absolute delight—charming, efficient, and clearly winning at hospitality. First impressions of the king suite were great: stylish, modern, and freshly updated. Unfortunately, it also came with a side of “Eau de Pine-Sol” so intense it could qualify as a third guest. We opened every window and door in a desperate attempt to air it out, but the scent stood its ground like a pine-scented fog of war. By bedtime, my sinuses were staging a protest, and the birthday getaway vibe had definitely taken a hit. The silver lining? By morning, we could breathe like humans again. Now, about those windows: charming in theory, but none of them had screens. The bedroom window opened right onto a sidewalk, which meant a parade of passing strangers just a few feet away. With no A/C and a security risk that felt more “live stage performance” than “private suite,” we ended up sweating it out with the windows closed. The bed also had... character. The headboard was completely detached from the wall, and according to my husband, his side of the bed offered a gentle downhill slope—ideal for sledding, not so much for sleeping. All that said, I actually really like this place. It has great bones and a lot of potential. I’d absolutely come back, but next time I’ll book a second or third-floor room, and I’ll be calling ahead to make sure it doesn’t smell like a pine forest exploded indoors.

Having someone around in the front desk would be helpful. Also for as many maintenance personel there are, they don't seem to notice much in the way of animal poop laying in the breezeways and on the sidewalks. I watched 3 different people walk right by it and do nothing. They also need to sweep around the entryways to rooms as well. Otherwise, rooms nice, bed super comfortable and amenities sufficient. We'll return again.

Checkout said 11 on Expedia but it's actually 10 am. They waived the $50 late checkout fee because I booked it under the impression we had until 11 am. The staff onsite were nice and accommodating but they are not always onsite so if you need anything after 7 pm you are on your own. We stayed in the king family suit, it had a kitchenette with everything we needed to cook. The room was comfortable and spacious but the bathroom was in poor condition. The vent on the ceiling was hanging halfway out and the toilet paper holder was loose on the wall. Cigarette butts were all over the property grounds. The jacuzzi/spa was a nice way to warm up in the chilly weather.

The property has been updated, staff and service is excellent, the rooms are clean with a large flat screen TV, refrigerator, Keurig, microwave and many opportunities to plug in devices/charge. I loved the hot tub/jacuzzi. Plus we have a bay view and an outside sitting area. It’s also pet friendly!
