A lovely old hotel in the spirit of Blois and la Loire Valley. The rooms a bit small and the hotel a bit dated but it only added to its charm. Super clean, still elegant, perfect location and the staff super welcoming and friendly. Breakfast in the lovely dining room, surrounded by castle paintings, was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The coffee machine with all its options is all that we needed of the modern world.
Location next to the Royal Blois Castle and the pedestrian streets, the lovely Loire River, with our room overlooking a lovely church from our bedroom was just perfect. Also just a short drive away to visit the Chambord Castle and other great palaces in the area.
So happy we chose Hotel de France et de Guise for our Loire lodging.
No hotel parking but the paid street parking in the day, free at night, worked well for our schedule and short stay during our three day visit of the area.
