This property was right by major roads shopping and restaurants. The property is clean and beautifully landscaped for a budget friendly motel. The laundry was out of service for about 30 hours of my 3 week stay. There are some issues with transient people walking up and down the main road but they don’t bother you if you don’t bother them. There was a regular police presence in the area and I had no issues at the hotel.

Family room was spacious, however housekeeping was supposedly only available only every three days. We stayed 10 days and only received housekeeping twice and it was not a full service. Beds were never changed. We were given cleanser to clean up after ourselves. I went to Walmart and bought the Clorox Toilet cleaners so I could clean my bathroom. The property clearly needs updating, yet they charged me $200.00 for a broken tile in the living room area which I had pointed out to them the day I moved into the room. We did not break that tile. The housekeeping staff that came to the room after we called because the room had not been cleaned took a picture of the broken tile on the day we moved into the room. No one ever came to see about that tile during our stay. We spent two-and-a-half days in another room because they had an ant infestation in the Family Room Suite that I had reserved. Telephones and televisions didn’t work and staff was not happy about taking complaints. I live in California but most of native family lives in Georgia. If I ever stayed here again, I would consider this more of a glamping experience and be better prepared and be more wary of staff. The breakfast was good. I am going to pursue small claims over the charge but if I have to appear for a hearing, it isn’t going to be worth it to me to spend thousands on a flight plus fees over a $200.00 damage fee. And that is how La Quinta gouges their guests.

If you get up early, maybe you will get some breakfast and coffee. I stayed two nights and both mornings there was almost nothing left with breakfast not even coffee. The ice machine was out of order. The place seems to be clean and there wasn’t a lot of people there so it’s quiet. The pool was decent.

This is the place to stay if you visit the Augusta area! The rooms are nice and the beds are great. You can actually say the breakfast is real food cooked by a staff. Real eggs, bacon and real sausage. I come to Augusta quite a bit visiting family. I’ve tried most of the hotels in the area near I-20 and Washington road all are a mess. So go to grovetown and check in here. You won’t be disappointed!
