We really enjoyed our stay! All the staff was incredibly friendly. They offered a variety of activities and events for the familiea. The area around the property is so calm. The view is amazing. Pool and spa were clean. We had a small incident with some teens being loud and inappropriate but as soon as the staff was informed they call them out. Rooms are cabin style and have everything you need to have a nice stay. We will be back.

We loved our stay at Lagonita! We were there in the winter and it was very reasonable.The breakfast was great, the room was perfect. The kids loved the indoor pool. They offered some fun 'activities'. Everyone was very nice. I appreciated that they had games and DVDs on offer at the front.

Walls are thin, upper floor very squeaky, make sure you get upstairs. Bathrooms probably 40 years old ( dark pink) , very roomy, nice kitchen, staff was nice, hairs were left in bathtub by cleaner. Sliding screen door kept coming off track, grocery stores about 5 miles away.

Great rooms, clean and quiet. Remote never worked for tv and never got fixed after requesting help. Son fell at pool and sprained ankle due to flooded areas, had to call ems myself, per staff instructions. All activities we had planned had to be cancelled at our expense. I will be getting billed for ambulance. Staff never asked if he was ok, just had me fill out report, and gave no further assistance. Our vacation was spent at hospital and i will be incurring financial hardship we can't afford.

Lagonita Lodge is a gorgeous property right on the shores of Big Bear Lake. Complete with own docks, BBQs, playground, rec rooms and an outdoor raised hot tub beside the lake. Indoor pool and spa too. Walkways and greenery abound. Our two bedroom “Bear Lodge” was lovely, spacious and well equipped with a nice balcony and view of the lake. The staff members were efficient and helpful. Cool activities were offered daily. Great for family time or romantic getaway. We loved our weekend at Lagonita Lodge.

A good stay at Lagonita Lodge

We really enjoyed our stay but there were some issues, first and foremost the back sliding door had NO lock! There was no room service (cleaning) on the weekends, and finally there was a huge clump of human hair clogging the bathroom sink! Fortunately there was a plunger in the room so I was able to clear it out! Also, the gas fire place did not work. Otherwise, the people there were friendly, they had good programs like a pancake breakfast, a wine and beer gathering, a boat ride around the lake (boat captain Mike was a great tour guide) and a free continental breakfast on Sunday morning. I would return but make sure I stay in a different room that I could lock both front and back doors!

Really great value!

This "room" was so much more than I expected. Pros: the bedroom was quite large, the living/sitting room was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-appointed. Lovely balcony. Two "bathroom" sinks/vanities: one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom. Two TVs: dining/sitting room area and bedroom. Everything was very clean. Cons: the comfort of the queen bed was okay but not great. The water pressure in the shower was weak to moderate. Some of the fixtures were pretty old: the faucet in the shower and the swing-arm lamp by the bed. The upholstery on the easy chair and cushions seemed dingy. We were there for 3 days, and room cleaning only happened on appointed days unless requested. I guess I didn't read that part, so that was on me, but there was no room cleaning or replenishment of coffee/supplies/towels while we were there. There was a gas fireplace, but it either wasn't working or we couldn't get it to work. Note: best to use exterior parking areas because of the swallows. They're beautiful, but will poop a lot on your car. Also, be nosy. Lots of useful things in the cupboards. Overall impression: Now that I know what to expect, I'm prepared for next time. I'll definitely come again. It really was a great value for what we paid for it, which was in the spring before Memorial Day. I don't know if they adjust prices for the time of year, but inbetween seasons is a great value! PS. I have great photos, but the "Add a Photo" button isn't working.
