Bedrooms very dated. A bit like Faulty Towers.

Loved this hotel. We booked a Design Double. Clean room with plenty of space. A small fridge and kettle were available. We booked half board and really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffet. Plenty of choice and variety even though we stayed 8 nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. A really relaxing break and definitely somewhere to return.

We had ants in our room but they quickly switch our room.

We enjoyed our stay very much! From the beautiful hotel, to the very friendly and helpful staff and of course being right in front of the cathedral really topped it off! The room had everything you needed and was very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend!

This was a fantastic hotel with an extremely helpful staff. The location is ideal for tourists -- near the cathedral, easy walking distance to all the Gothic Quarter and El Born activities. We stayed in a junior suite and it was excellent -- nice amount of space and a gorgeous view of the beautiful architecture in the area. The rooftop pool area and bar was excellent; we spent a couple of sunsets up there, which was nice because as hotel guests, we had priority over the visitors who lined up outside to get up there. The staff provided outstanding customer service throughout, including excellent housekeeping. The breakfast was top notch, as well. Overall, it was a great stay and we'd definitely want to return when back in Barcelona.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered at any hotel. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping. Every interaction felt like an inconvenience to them, and basic courtesy and professionalism were noticeably absent. Three days before arrival, I requested an early check-in and received no response. When we arrived, just 10 minutes before check-out time, we were told an early check-in was not possible because guests were still sleeping after “partying too much.” This was an incredibly unprofessional excuse and demonstrated a complete lack of regard for arriving guests. What made the experience even worse was the treatment of my wife, who is disabled and unwell. Despite making staff aware of her circumstances, there was absolutely no empathy, compassion, or willingness to assist. We were met with indifference throughout. As someone who spends a significant amount of money within this hotel group and is recognised at other properties, I expected a basic level of customer care. Instead, I encountered arrogance, poor attitude, and a complete failure in hospitality. A hotel can have excellent facilities, but when the first people guests encounter are rude, unhelpful, and lacking compassion, it ruins the entire experience. Based on the service we received, I would not recommend this hotel and will seriously reconsider staying with this hotel group in the future.
