Hotel Bero

Hofstraat 1A, Ostend - Map
"Excellent hotel in a good position."
Very welcoming and friendly staff and a comfortable room which was spacious and provided everything we required. There was a very good range of food for breakfast and it was particularly pleasing that members of the Bero family were present to supervise.

"Short Beach Break"
A short break in stunning weather. The hotel is in a fantastic position where you step from the hotel onto the beach and a further 10 minute walk puts you into the main restaurant area. The public areas were much better than expected given earlier reviews and the room itself was huge and in a good condition. Generous supply of towels (family room) and prompt efficient housekeeping. Yes there were a few marks on the carpet but generally the condition and cleanliness were good.

La Réserve

Elizabetlaan 160, Knokke-Heist - Map
"Modern and Trendy without Personality"
La Reserve is a completely new building. The building is modern and trendy, but completely lacks any personality. The rooms are spacious. The bathtub and sink are separated from the sleeping/sitting area by louvered doors that can be closed for some privacy. The large shower is separate from the tub. the toilet is is a dimly lit "closet" near the door but the glass door does not lock. This is an upscale hotel and spa.

"hotel close to all amenities"
I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now it is one of the nicer ones in the area close to shops and markets which are on thursdays saturdays and sundays also most shops are open on sunday in ostend [summer months]. The hotel has been up dated new bathrooms, bedrooms with double glazing. breakfast is nice but still continental they do scrambled egg and bit of broken bacon along with croissants, toast, cereal, yogurt etc all of which is self service. They do have car parking spaces but not many these are dotted around the area about 5 min from hotel 14 euros per day so if you require a space email hotel beforehand and book one. You cannot get in your room before 3 and park your car before midday. pros and cons rooms are nice but no aircon so if windows open at night it will be very noisey in summer months from trams and people passing by the hotel 1,2,3,4,5 in the morning very noisey the sound echo's . Early in season or late might be better depending why you are going. summer time there is lots going on for kids but if just a adult break maybe better going not in the height of summer.

Hotel Louisa

This is a brilliant place to stay location-wise, 2mins from the beach/close to the harbour (free parking) and the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed with our two small children in a family room, so I can't vouch as a stay for a honeymooning couple! This is superior budget hotel with good breakfast included in nice surroundings. Would definitely stay again.

Pocket Guide: West Flanders Belgian Coast Hotels

It is easy to travel through the Belgian Coast along the North Sea. Just hop on the Belgian Coast Tram, the world’s longest tram. The coast is a popular tourist spot with a boardwalk featuring cafés and shops. A colorful, pedal-driven vehicle called a “cuistax” is a common sight along the beach.
