This is the perfect location! Just down the stairs and you are in the middle of the Gaffer District. Its also an easy walk to Corning Museum of Glass. We parked the car and never needed it again all weekend.

Hotel was comfortable and slept well. But the room was not cleaned as garbage from previous customer was not cleared and the towels were not changed before we checked in. We checked in a bit late around 7:00pm and still the room was not cleaned in proper way. Although the staff removed the garbage immediately when I informed them but the towels were pretty dirty and I saw that after my shower next day morning. Bit disappointed about hotel’s cleanliness.

The inside of the hotel was nice and clean. The property was taken over from another hotel chain. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. As of right now the outside of the property needs attention. You can still see the outline of the previous owners name on the outside of the building. The parking lot could use a refresh as well. The included breakfast was good as well. I would stay there again.

The Black Sheep Inn is a rare gem! Built in the mid-19th century and renovated with modern appliances and amenities. Kim makes a fantastic breakfast. Hammondsport is a charming village. We stayed four nights and enjoyed every minute.
