Casa Alquimia preserves its colonial architecture and holds historical details that transport you back in time as you walk through its hallways. From its terrace, you can enjoy delicious breakfast or simply admire the city views with the Panecillo hill in the background. The rooms are spacious and have hot water, and you'll find water dispensers in the hallways so you can refill your bottles. Its location is great for exploring the city center or using it as a base for quick walking or driving excursions. Service was always attentive and friendly. Notes: - Bring cash to pay for the stay and avoid an additional 8.5% required if paying with credit card. - Be mindful this location is right at the city center, with the usual noise level (from traffic and people) for such an area.

Hotel was like a jig saw puzzle with lots of stairways and areas. Still had construction going on. Rooms were very nice but no privacy unless you close your curtains. Room safes did not work in either of our rooms. You cannot flush toilet paper due to old pipes. Area did not feel very safe but we did not need to leave the hotel without a guide since the dining in the hotel was great. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel. It is beautifully curated, gorgeous in every detail. Classy, clean, peaceful feel. View of the restaurant was out of this world and the staff was extremely kind. I really enjoyed staying there.

Fantastic. Its rare that I get surprised by hotel but Old Town customer service, status and design of the rooms really knocked my socks off. The staff was so kind and attentive, I’ve never seen anything like it at this style of hotel. Hats off to the whole team.
