A Gem

Had some of the trappings of a five star hotel. The food? Amazing. And the chocolate they left in the room the best I’ve had ever. Big rooms fitness room sauna. DONT MISS THIS PLACE ITS A GEM. My wife is a Thai she wanted me to mention that although the staff had English skills, no Thai skills. They hired a lot of workers from abroad mainly china. This is a sore spot for the locals, so if you’re spouse is a Thai and has nationalist sentiments Caveat Emptor.

The fitness rom and shower in det swimming pool area is still in condition (one year after my last stand). The lounge ha get new furnitures and looks less exclusive.

The bed is very comfortable, the breakfast was amazing. They have at least 5 restaurants and a couple two Star Michelin Restaurants. I ate at Mezzaluna French cuisine with a Japanese twist. The eight course plus meal was spectacular ! I bar also eaten at Sirocco, where Hangover III was filmed .. awesome with amazing view as you sit on the 64th floor outside with a live band in the background! This is my second time stay, Lebua has never felled me. The staff was superb, and a true pleasure. When in Bangkok I most definitely will stay there again.

Asked about getting our laundry done and no one had come by when we had asked about it. It’s a minor thing we ended up going to a laundromat nearby. But maybe better communication amongst staff to ensure requests can be fulfilled. Rest of stay was excellent!

Generally, we enjoyed our stay at Lebua. The staff were extremely friendly. However, we were extremely frustrated with the operation of the television in our room. It would often glitch, send messages about the connection, wouldn’t turn on or off or just froze. We did notify the front desk and they did send a technician each time for a total of three times on three separate occasions. Finally on our last night, the television stopped working altogether. When we notified the front desk ONCE again about the same issue over the last ten days we spent at the hotel, we asked to speak with the manager at check out. We were informed by a manager, should we decide to return to Lebua in the future we would somehow be compensated. For the price of this hotel it is unacceptable to be inconvenienced by a faulty television. I think we should be compensated with some expense taken off the total of our bill.

Think twice before staying at IEBUA

Hotel room was very outdated please be aware that not because the images look good the rooms are the same shower has no slip mats in place making it a huge hazard for guests! Amenities in room do not even include an iron. Carpets inside room are filthy and it seems like housekeeping enjoys keeping cleanliness around the hotel at a very minimum! Hotels on Nana Plaza might be a better option considering you are receiving almost the same amount in value.

I really enjoyed my stay at Lebua and the staff were simply wonderful and very helpful. However, I was here on business and although they have what looks to be a decent business center, it was not open and I don't believe they plan on opening it anytime soon, if ever. I had a number of things I needed to print out for business purposes and it was not convenient to have to email my documents to the staff to print them for me. The lobby of the building stinks of sewage and is a big downside that, in my opinion, prevents this hotel from being a top level place. The Sky Bar is incredibly expensive and not good for meeting colleagues for drinks unless you are willing to spend several hundred dollars. Breakfast was quite good.
