A bit of a mixture feelings about the place. Although in overall it looks great and sleep was comfortable, and the place was clean enough, the overall experience was somewhat mediocre for the price. Plus, perhaps expected too much from a 300+ years old tavern... The breakfast was rather basic, thought with fresh good bread.

There are major problems with this listing The wellness facilities were all unavailable during our stay. It was not made clear that we would be charged for electricity and water. The amount we had to pay was iunbeluevalbly high, adding half as much as the hotel fee on top, plus linen charge. We could not use the jacuzzi, as it was filthy,; we did not use the sauna; we turned down all the radiators as we bought logs for the fire. So, it is difficult to see how the energy bill for our actual use could have been even half as much as we were charged, but with no way of disputing this, it has certainly spoilt our stay.

Wonderful cottage, nice area, quiet with good parking, Very clean and nicely furnished. Overall excellent. However, internet passcode did not work.

Super clean hotel and room and very comfortable bed. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent breakfast buffet. Great walkable location. Highly recommend.

Do not be put off when you pull into the rear carpark. This hotel is a gem with clean rooms, a good breakfast and a corner whirlpool bath to die for. Be aware if you are in the upstairs room in the main building the stairs extremely steep. But the room is worth it.

Excellent place to stay in very quiet and peaceful place. Only nature around.
