The bed was very comfortable and nicely furnished. For the cost, this is a very convenient overnight stay. I have stayed here before, but I have to say the lobby had a stale chemical odor, thankfully the room was fine.

Front desk not staffed at any time of day. Visitors must call a number to summon staff from their room. This was the case every day for 6 days. Staff very unfriendly. No smiles, and blamed us when card key stopped working. There were two used mattresses on the grass in front of the building for our entire stay - seriously. We seriously doubt that Whyndam has any idea how this (one of their hotels) place looks.

Weekend in Melrose!

The desk worker (I assumed also the owner) was friendly and helpful. He showed general interest in what brought us to stay in Melrose. The staffed seemed happy and seemed to work hard! The room had updated carpeting and furniture and looked like they were trying to improve their hotel.
