Amazing hotel!

Booked a suite for 4 nights. This is a Small Luxury Hotel so expectations are high and they should be. Enjoyed our stay and were pleased but with some disappointments. The hotel is in a great location. Parking is difficult but this is Europe and a European city so we expect this and were given options by the doorman/bellman who was most helpful. Check-in was warm and welcoming along with helpful. Any contact with reception prior to arrival was replied to and dinner reservations made for us. This is not a purpose built hotel but a retrofit. Therefore there are quirks. The suite was comfortable but the bathroom for a suite in #15 is small. Maybe this shouldn’t be categorized as a suite but a large room with a small bathroom. Given the large windows the room is dark, natural light is non existent in the bathroom and the lighting in both bathroom and room is quite poor. The bed is very comfortable but … when our linens were changed we experienced cigarette smoke smelling linens. Very very unpleasant. The A/C worked well along with wifi. Yes, the water was hot. In the shower we had the setting on cold to make it comfortable. An unusual problem for sure. Complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated along with bottled water daily. Goodies at reception a nice treat. Breakfast was good with a small buffet and menu for cooked to order. Maybe not an extensive buffet but the cooked to order items were nice to have.

Booked room with direct Sea view. Absolutely worth it. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, all amenities needed. Great walking location. Enjoyed the restaurant and bar downstairs.

The staff were excellent. Location perfect. Room was very clean. The entire property is just so so as it felt more like a hostel atmosphere. It was fine for one night. Again location you couldn’t beat. But it was far from the Athens airport; took 1 hour, due to the extreme traffic and that was leaving the hotel at 11am on a Saturday morning. Saturday and Sunday are less traffic apparently.
