Quiet property. Convenient location.

The property is under construction so I understand that it could be a mess however there was glass all over the parking lot and pieces of metal where we walked our dog. Just because a place is under construction doesn’t mean these things need to be there.

The historic tour (included in the stay) was fantastic! The view, the property vibe is magical. The older staff, especially those who have been with the lodge for years are very helpful. The younger staff at the front desk and the dining area could be more welcoming. Overall a great experience.

The advertised breakfast was actually just a skeleton of a breakfast. Most critically for me, the room I had was in the older motel part of the hotel. The smell of the chemicals they apparently use for cleaning was horrible. When I started to feel seriously inconvenienced after a couple of hours, the staff was already gone, so I could not get a different room. I had a terribly bad night because of this. I would have slept better in my car...

Our stay was mind blowing how amazing this place was. It has a lot of activities that we where able to have a full day planed out with the amount of things we could do. I definitely will be going back again soon.

Mostly very pleasant. However I couldn’t get over the poor excuse for a banana pudding served in your restaurant when I came in for an after dinner dessert. Cheap vanilla cookies, some crushed bananas. It was not a pudding. Breakfast was good. Also, the walls were blank. No art. And this isn’t the hotel’s issue, but I hate the inability to just turn on the tv and see a local program.
