Conveniently located 1970s motel. Calling it a resort is quite a stretch. Lots of money spent on remodeling the lobby, sadly that's where it stopped. Rooms were mediocre at best. Dressing mirror was sitting on the floor, which required my wife to sit on the floor to fix her hair and put on her makeup. Lighting was miserable throughout the room. Sink had a large crack from top to bottom that had been repaired with silicone. Wall unit air conditioning was old and tired and struggled to cool the room. Parking is a problem requiring you to carry your luggage up multiple flights of stairs. The pool is nice. The 'water view' is technically correct, but you have to go to the far end of the second floor to see water a quarter mile away. Staff was a mixed bag with one extremely nice helpful person and one not so helpful. Maid service was terrible. They made the beds, but didn't empty trash cans, left 5 sheets of toilet paper on the roll and didn't put out a new one. They didn't refill the 'amenities' which consisted of coffee pods for the Keurig and packaged creamer. I'm assuming the advertised bar and restaurant is at the municipal golf course across the street. Whoever their photographer is is a genius.

Loved the place the only down side to it was you could hear the people walking upstairs sometimes

Nice little home that’s located close to downtown. It was great for what we needed. It is not handicapped friendly, tho. Currently (May 2026), there is a high 1-step front door entry that could be easily fixed with a sturdy second platform step up from the nice front porch to make it easier to get in and out. It also has a nice upgraded single bathroom, but the claw tub is deep without a handrail and no suction in-tub bath mat to keep a person from falling. The rain shower is great however. Kitchen has good amenities, and the dining and living room areas are nice. Good amount of seating, large TV. Overall, for an older home, it’s nice and, a big plus, it doesn’t have a musty smell.

Best than I could’ve ever expected.

It was so much fun staying at Gil’s with my family! We enjoyed the dock and water! We fished and walked around! It was beautiful and so much fun!

We stayed for 5 nights on the Grand side of the resort instead of the Oasis side. The Grand building is located farther from the water park area, which made it much quieter with far less hallway foot traffic from kids. The room was spacious, beautifully updated, and the AC kept everything ice-cold. Honorable mention: Close to the airport and a train track runs behind building 2 Pros: Great Amenities: The 36-hole mini-golf course was incredible, and both the lazy river and water slides were fantastic. Location & Beach: Located right across the street from the beach with free public access and a pier nearby. Convenience: Plenty of parking on-site. Poolside drinks were available at the Sweet Shop during the week and from the pool bar on weekends. Value: Very reasonably priced for a 5-night stay. We would definitely return! Minor Drawbacks: No microwave in the room (not a major issue for us since we dined out). Fresh paint smell in the room due to recent renovations. Missing coffee pod container for the room’s coffee machine (or maybe container was in coffee bags) Suggestion for Management: When facing Building 2 from the entrance, consider replacing the grill to the left side of building with a gate. This would give guests access to that parking area without having to drive all the way around to the back

Beautiful rooms/amenities, superior security, casino spacious, LOUD music, temperature too cold. Staff wonderful and everyone nice and professional. Guests were generally better dressed than other hotels/casinos.
