I am writing to express my absolute disappointment with our recent stay. When we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed, which was extremely upsetting and completely changed the experience we had planned for our family. When we book hotels, we specifically look for amenities that our family can enjoy. Quite frankly, the room itself is not what drives our decision to book a particular property. The amenities are a major factor, and the pool was one of the primary reasons we chose to stay at your hotel. Had we known the pool would be unavailable, we would have made a different reservation. What makes this situation especially upsetting is the impact it had on my child with special needs. My child was incredibly hurt and disappointed, and as a parent, it was heartbreaking to watch something that was supposed to be an enjoyable experience turn into such a negative one. This was more than a minor inconvenience; it significantly affected our family's stay and created an unfortunate experience that could have been avoided with proper communication ahead of time. Unfortunately, the disappointment did not end there. The breakfast attendant's behavior was also unacceptable. The constant slamming of items, inappropriate comments, and openly expressing how glad they were to have the following day off—in language and a manner that were even worse than that description—created an unpleasant and unprofessional atmosphere.

The owners were very nice and accommodating and the wings and drinks at the bar were really good. I can appreciate being in a historical hotel but these one needs lots of work still and it shows.

Bobby was very hospitable and helpful

A comfortable bed close to where I needed to be. Friendly staff. Decent continental breakfast. Property could use some “sprucing up.”

Facilities were clean and bed was very comfortable. Building was modern and well done however rooms were not user friendly. No chair or table to put anything on or sit to even put on your shoes. No hangers in room. No hooks for towels in shower area. No doors on shower. You shower out in the open. Water gets all over the floor. Steam fills the room. No end table next to bed. No usb port anywhere. Nothing but bright overhead lighting. Parking was impossible. We parked on street both nights. It just wasn’t a room to relax in, just sleep and shower and leave. The speakeasy/bar was nice and staff was very helpful.

Very Friendly staff. Room was HUGE but a little outdated. Bedroom area was clean (sheets were white and not stained), no stains on carpet, furniture or comforters. Bathroom was ok, but could use a major deep clean and replacement of towels. They were all stained brown - yuck! There was no light on the sign out front, and I almost drove past it. Although they cannot control it - it was noisy with the traffic. It was very affordable so I would consider staying here again.

Disappointing Stay at Liberty Lodge Unfortunately, our stay at Liberty Lodge was not a good experience. The room had a really bad smell, which made it uncomfortable from the start. The noise from upstairs was horrible on both nights, with constant stomping and a squeaky bed that went on for about 45 minutes. The noise repeatedly woke me up around midnight when I was trying to sleep, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. We also noticed that some of the rooms appeared to be occupied by people living there. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and the room was not the comfortable, peaceful place we expected. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again.
