This was a very nice apartment for rent.”The Landing” is a company who rents apartments from a complex and furnishes the apartments to rent out for one night or for a month or more. Everything was spot on! Some places you rent for short term, they ask you to wash your bedding etc before leaving. None of that! It’s a very quiet community, dog park, pool. However, you cannot get help from the apartment complex with your codes etc. It’s a sublet apartment. Codes and wifi you must contact “The Landing” and not Expedia or the “Arcadia apartment office” When you check in to the Landing online, they will take you through everything. Thankfully I did screenshot each page I checked because I was never able to access their app that they ask you to download and use. You need to save the key code for the front door that you are given. Save it because everytime you need to go in the building, you must use. Then you will have a code for your apartment door. The door has a “smart door lock”. We had never seen one of these. We were totally stumped at first. They don’t explain it. It’s an all black door knob and all you need to do is touch the knob and it will light up with white numbers like a clock and you punch in the code to the apartment. You do need to turn the deadbolt away from the door jam to unlock. When you leave, make sure you deadbolt the door.

This house is well maintained and clean with comfortable beds and plenty of space for our family of five. There is definitely room for more people too. Each room has its own bathroom which makes getting ready for outings much easier. The house is located in the seacrest beach section of Rosemary Beach and is only a five minute walk to pool and 10 minute walk to beach. The pool lagoon area is beautiful with a cafe and bathrooms and plenty of seating for the month of August. The beach has a beautiful entrance and white sand with clear waters and chair/umbrellas to rent for the day. There is also a very good cafe steps up from beach called Crabby Steve’s high point. We walked everywhere in seacrest and proper Rosemary beach near the Pearl Hotel. We ate good meals every day. Lots of restaurants to try. This house did not have bikes included in our rental price. If this is important to you check out bike rental options before you go. Our family swam in pool and golf most of day, especially bc August weather brings so much heat and humidity to this area, and we got dressed nicely and walked to dinner in the evening and then walked to ice cream and shops before going back to house. We had quiet, quality family time.

Overall, our stay was just average and did not provide the value we expected for the price we paid. One of the biggest disappointments was being charged additional fees for extra occupants, I also didn’t appreciate having to pay extra for my children and for parking, as these costs significantly increased the overall expense. When we arrived, the door to our room was difficult to open, which wasn’t a great first impression. The room itself looked as advertised, but our “ocean view” was mostly obstructed, which was disappointing. The hotel’s location is excellent and one of its biggest advantages. It is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and other eateries, making it very convenient to explore the area without needing to drive. As we walked around the property, it became apparent that the hotel could use some maintenance. The wallpaper was peeling in several areas, and many of the room doors were scuffed and worn. The overall appearance reminded me more of a Red Roof Inn than a resort charging premium rates. The hotel staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which affected the overall guest experience. On a positive note, the amenities were wonderful, free breakfast, and evening libations was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, considering the condition of the property, the extra fees, and the level of service, I don’t feel the stay was worth the price we paid. I believe we could have found a much better value elsewhere.

The a/c didn't work properly it stayed 75 degrees in our room. They wouldn't move us to another room. There was sand all in the floor and on the counter when we got there, the toilet ran, the bathroom had hair in it and ants. The sheets sheets were dingy white..
