Linens not clean, blanket smells pee, mosquitoes biting all night

I booked a room in a “4 star” hotel and ended up in a cigarette smelling room, which has not been updated in decades. We were able to change the room to a slightly updated one (no smell!!) but very noisy since both the hotel and the plaza in front of the hotel are in full renovations. The noise and renovation should be mentioned through the booking process, mostly since all materials are carried through the main lobby and guest elevators. (dirt everywhere) Offsite parking is also inconvenient. The staff felt stiff and unwelcoming. Even with renovated rooms, not a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is located very convenient in downtown. We enjoyed staying in a large room decorated in a palace style and with a huge bathroom. We would come back anytime.

Good standard and very comfortable rooms. Best hotel in the city. Great breakfast. If your a light sleeper ask for a room overlooking the city - not the Palas area as club music can be a problem.

Breakfast was awesome and staff was excellent. Still working through a double booking issue but that was not an issue with the hotel.

Highly recommended - great location , super helpful staff. 100 times better than a hotel room, not to mention at a lower price.

For my next trip to Iasi I will consider the same accommodation, clean and cozy, right in the heart of the city, good communication with the host, prompt response for cleaning the apartment on request. I warmly recommend!
