Great staff, convenient location very nice hotel

Excellent choice for those traveling with small children, like our 7-year-old. We got the inside room and he got a sofa bed. The living space was a nicely restored row-house with a small kitchen (including a full-sized fridge/freezer, microwave, stovetop, sink and any needed kitchenware) and hard flooring, furnished with decent Ikea pieces. Staff was generous with the paper products, but (oddly) stingy with the towels. There was also a washing machine / dryer combo, much appreciated for our long stay. The washing function was definitely effective, but the clothes never came out fully dry, so we had to rely on hanging it around the room and let the AC do the job. (But that's not really the hotel's fault; my parents have one of these washer/dryer combo units and they also complain about how ineffective the drying function is. Just the nature of this type of machine and something to expect.) We got a room facing the busy Rocher Road, which did get somewhat noisy, even at night, and the thin, possibly restored-from-original windows didn't help with the sound insulation. Not a problem for us, but maybe an issue with light sleepers. Otherwise, the location was super convenient, right across the street from the Bugis MRT (interchange) station as well as numerous shopping/dining options like the Bugis Junction shopping mall and the Bugis street shops (great for tacky souvenirs).

There were shops close by and the MRT was across the road. For the price, the place was OK. Rooms were tiny but tidy. Basic amenities and staff were very nice. Didn't know that they did not have elevators.
