Liked nothing. Dirty and smelled like burnt grease. Room door was bent and loose. Toilet leaked sewage at the floor. Bed sagged was like sleeping in a bathtub. Ran out of hot water at 4 AM shower. Not worth it even if free. Should get a refund.

We would love to come back! Loved the soaking claw-foot tub and b&w decor in our room. A few minor things: When we booked via hotels.com it mentioned a welcome gift with the room we chose (#11) but there wasn't anything. It also felt a bit like the place was left to its own devices... breakfast list mentioned yogurt, but there was none. However, there was oatmeal and coffee. The place was so quiet and clean. We met Eve (not the owner) who has the Apothecary next door and she was lovely! We were the only ones renting the night we stayed so we had the entire place to ourselves. Be prepared that there is nothing around. I mean NOTHING. So you'll have to take a short drive in to eat dinner etc., which was fine with us. Overall, a very unique place to stay! It felt like taking a trip back to the 1800s and LOVED not having any TV in sight! Sad to know it's up for sale... I hope the new owners will keep it as is.

The biggest positive of this hotel would be the staff. Everyone that helped us was excellent! We had some questions on our bill and they explained and fixed it right away. The room was very clean. Unfortunately, we did have some ants in the bathroom. The biggest negative was the fact that in an executive king room, there is no microwave and no mini fridge. I really thought those were pretty standard in rooms these days. Had a good experience and definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I had an excellent experience overall. The only glitch you may not know about is it was difficult to get cold water at night or hot water in the morning. That problem may be exclusive to occupants of the 4th (top) floor. I know if you are aware, it will be resolved. I really liked the stay and would gladly stay again. The staff was delightful!
