"Impressive View with Indispensable Help "
My room had the most incredible view of the River Ness! Very beautiful. But what really made my stay so pleasant was the front receptionist, Victoria. From my arrival all the way to my departure, she was tremendously helpful in making sure my trip through Scotland was eventful. I thought I'd wing it, which turned out to be a mistake. A lot of the tours were booked up when I arrived. She went above and beyond throughout my stay at Glenmoriston to help me find a Highlands tour, figure out train schedules, and got me taxis. I should be paying her a travel agent's fee! She was key to me maximizing my experience during my time in Inverness and Scotland! For that, I am truly thankful for her help.

"Lovely hotel, with beautiful views of the village."
We arrived to this magnificent looking building. We learnt that it was built in 1911, obviously it has been upgraded. Tartan designed carpets in the lobby, lift to remind you of where you are. Around 7 pm,we heard music it is Friday evening. Either the hotel or the tour company that had 2 bus loaded of people one from Netherland, another from Sweden, hired an entertainer a Scottish gentleman who was brilliant,he got people up on their feet to dance. It made the evening a memorable experience.

"Hot, so hot"
Great location, room is modern and not too far from parking, but the room was uncomfortably hot and even with the window open for 3 days it was still reasonably uncomfortable. We are from Perth, Australia, so we know what warmth is and the days were mild (~17°), but temperature in the room was close to 25°. Room temp is probably acceptable for winter but not summer.

"Great River View"
Overall this is a good hotel to stay at while visiting Inverness. The bathroom is a bit small compared to the very large room, but I've found the bathrooms are small in most Hotels in Scotland. The location is great, short walk to pretty much anywhere you want to go. Because of the location, the price is a little high, but so are all the other hotels in Inverness. I can't recommend the restaurant, our server was kind of snooty, the apps were a joke, but the main course was fabulous. The bar is a nice place to cap off the night. Oh, and they have an actual parking lot, bonus.

"Parking and quality of hotel"
We toured Scotland by car so it was important that we find hotels where this was convenient. Lots of parking spots here and at no charge. The location was just outside of the city core of Inverness in a quiet area with beautifully groomed gardens and lawns. One could walk to city centre in about 15 to 20 minutes. The staff were very accommodating and professional. The quality of food was great - book a table for dinner in their dining room. The bar offered many brands not found in other locations. We had rooms on the ground floor with patios. Lovely for sitting outside to relax or chat with friends. We booked the hotel online so had no real knowledge of what we were to expect except for what was in the writeup. Highly recommend this property.

Stratherrick Road, Inverness - Map
We enjoyed our four day stay very much. The staff were very attentive and helpful. As we had a room at the end of a corridor, we did not experience too much passing traffic from other guests. The only drawback is that the hotel appears to be converted from a grand house - and the only access to the upper floor is via a staircase - a very long staircase. No lift - but there are several fit, young men on staff to help carry the bags up.

"Tower Room"
We stayed in one of the tower rooms and loved sitting at the bay window watching the River Ness and the people walking over the bridge and along the street. The staff treated us wonderfully and were very attentive. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the hotel and the Highlands very much. We'll be back!

"OK hotel close to shopping and sights."
Hotel was OK. It was close to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. We booked 2 rooms - my entire room smelled like urine - really strong in the bathroom but the other room we had seemed cleaner and didn't smell. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Strathpeffer hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
