"Escape from the hustle to the Hideaways in Exuma"
We went to Georgetown knowing nothing about it and found the Hideaways staff very helpful and informative for all the local places to go and see and also to escape and relax . The staff was friendly and the cottage was very clean , a little dated but very nice . If you're looking for the ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons this type resort is not for you . Overall great trip and we will return!

"Amazing hotel!"
Everything about this place was great. The room was gorgeous, the food was great, the beach and pool are perfect. If you do not have a car the location is a little tough because it is not in walking distance to anything (but I think most of the hotels on this island are like that). All of the staff was so helpful and nice. We will definitely be back!

"Excellent hotel with best beach. "
This resort is amazing and the location is perfect. If you love a beautiful beach this is the place for you. Super clear blue water, white sand and very private. Out on the beach there are plenty of palapas and best of all none are stacked in front of each other so you get the perfect view each time. The resort has great pools, plenty of restaurants with great food. The rooms are very comfortable and all have balconys. It's a great place for a quiet get away but also you can have some loud fun if that's what you want. There's a quiet pool and one with music and activities. At night there's entertainment and games or you can choose to have a quiet diner and sit by a fire pit or hammock. There are also a variety of activities you can pay for to do outside the resort. If it's your first time the tour that takes you to several cays including swimming with the pigs is a must do. And last but definitely not least the employees at the resort were all amazing. Best customer service and friendly employees I've experienced so far at a Sandals resort.

"Brilliant self contained villa"
The villa was fab - two big bedrooms each with two double beds, fully equipped kitchen, lovely balcony overlooking private beach. Free use of kayaks, hammock, loungers and BBQ. Get supplies from the Market shop in Georgetown. The villas are located 2-3 miles outside of Georgetown, down a dirt track. At first we weren't sure how to get into town (taxis are v expensive) but as soon as we got onto the main road and started walking we would get picked up by a local and dropped off for free. Very safe! The owner of the villa is also really happy to give you a lift to town so just ask! We did hire a car from Birleys for 2 days to explore further ($63 per day for a small mazda/suzuki) to be able to visit Little Exuma, Tropic of Cancer beach, Forbes Beach, Rolle Town, Barra Terra....I would highly recommend Cottage Cut, there are currently 3 villas but looks like they might be sorting another one.

"Cozy hotel"
We stayed here for a week and it was very comfortable and quaint but it's bare essentials so don't expect luxury. We were okay to walk to a beach (45 min) but you should rent a car if you want access to nicer beaches. It's close to a supermarket and liquor store.

"beautiful location with lovely views on all sides"
A relaxing place to stay, right on the beach. Walk out of the room, down a few steps and the beach is just there - beautiful fine sand and the sea is warm and inviting.

"Excellent location!"
Be prepared when you check in the hosts are not super friendly. That being said the place is in an excellent location and we really loved staying here. Its extra roomy and there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Full size living room and kitchen. You are within walking distance of one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see and a wonderful restaurant right down the road. The town is a bit of a walk and you really do take your life into your own hands if you walk there. It isn't far but the roads are quite narrow. We found a taxi service. Be careful about the cost . We found that different drivers charge different amounts. Make sure you ask a couple how much they charge. There is no set rate and no way of knowing how much they will charge. They will match the prices of others though.

Perfect 3 bedroom 2 bath clean house just steps away from the amazing Tropic of Cancer beach. The owners were great and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for us. The house has everything you need, just bring your personal items and your all set. I highly recommend this home in little Exuma.

Stocking Island is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Stocking Island, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Stocking Island hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
