Room was dated and dirty, bugs on the wall, torn furniture, some sort of animal poop on the suitcase bench. The bathroom was rusty and dimly lit. The room was on the first floor of a separate building. Right next to a very loud restaurant. We left the same night we checked in and went to another hotel down the street.

The hotel is old and it’s starting to show. Beds were on wooden platforms. Not very comfy. Pillows had faint odor of dog. After I took a shower and put the white towel on the floor to wipe down the water that had spilled the towel turned dark. I don’t know if the floor was dirty, or it picked up some of the residue from the color of the floor. Breakfast was nothing special. English muffins, some kind of eggs and sausage. The bread was somewhat stale. Coffee was very good though. The place needs a good remodel. The location is extremely noisy. You can hear trains going down the tracks several times during the night and lots of traffic on the road in front of the hotel.

This is an older facility and I loved it A taste of old St Augustine. Staff was seen constantly checking the property, scooping up even leaves that blew in, talking with guests and delivering extra supplies. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staying at the Flagger Inn was the best part of my visit to St. Augustine.
