We’ve stayed here many many times over the last 2 years and sadly the hotel is in need of a major refurbishing. Our last room had a toilet ready to tip over. 2 stays earlier the bathtub had a hole in it that was covered with a mat that still felt like you were going to fall through. All the shower heads need replaced. Sinks are clogged or slow. Room doors are cracked with gaps that do not make you feel completely private. We will stay loyal as the people and service are tops but hope a renovation is in the plans.

Breakfast was mid. Eggs were watery, room was crowded, and the lady that worked there was filling food and but in front of me (literally both days I was there) like she couldn’t wait two seconds for me to get my food. I’d be less mad if I wasn’t also trying to watch my toddler who was sitting at a table alone and I was trying to get her food. The lady at the front desk wasn’t very friendly upon check in, but the lady when I checked out was very friendly. My kid loved the pool but it was dirty. There was a ring around the edge that could easily be cleaned and looked like it hadn’t been in a while. There was a lamp in the corner of our room that looked like it had never been dusted, and around the toilet was pretty crusty. It’s a place to stay. I’d probably stay there again because it’s cheap. But I know here in Springfield it’s slim pickings. Everything is just so outdated and dark.

We have been coming to Northfield Inn for many years. Over all its was ok this year. Just wondering why all the rooms have dehumidifiers in them. Front desk clerk when i checked in on Wednesday evening, she was amazing!!

My husband and I stay here frequently and we love the deluxe jacuzzi suite. Beds are comfortable, jacuzzi is nice, and the staff is friendly. Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, various pastries, fruit and yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, coffee and juices. Good variety to pick from. Def an added bonus that Xochimilco is just a short walk down the hallway if you love Mexican like we do!

This hotel was top notch in cleanliness! Great service, friendly staff, good full breakfast, very clean room, fresh bedding, comfortable beds. I only wish we had more than a few hours to enjoy this hotel. I recommend it and would stay here again in a heartbeat if in the same area.
