The Ruby River Hotel was perfect for our family trip to Spokane. The parking was easy (and you could actually find a spot later at night), the staff attentive and for an older hotel, it was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the pool immensely as we were visiting Spokane in a bit of a heat wave! My only criticism was you had to ask to have your room made up (re-stock coffee, freshen towels if necessary), which we didn’t realize the first day. We found it to be a close walk to shopping and downtown, about 10 minutes over the bridge.

Beautiful grounds, comfortable room, looks like a place where large groups and conferences gather. Stay was quiet, though. I wonder if it gets quite noisy at times given the large groups.

Ruby river rooms were spacious and had a nice walking trail that follows the river next to the hotel. It’s next to the Gonzaga campus and has a nice pool area and areas for dogs. The grounds are nice and kept up very well.

Staff was amazing from. Front desk, cleaning ladies, Osprey restaurant crew, shuttle driver, you name it.....everyone was great. The entire grounds of the hotel were amazing as well. Pool area was great and felt more like we were at a resort than downtown Spokane. Definitely will be staying again.

We stayed here last year to attend to personal business in Spokane and chose to return this year. Rooms both times were spotless with tasteful, modern decor. Front desk staff person was super helpful, efficient and accommodating offering me choices of available rooms upon my arrival. Lovely location along the riverfront. We went to the onsite restaurant, The Osprey, for breakfast. Outdoor seating option along the riverfront was nice. Unfortunately, service wasn’t up to par that morning. Maybe the server was new. It appeared other tables were experiencing issues, too. After bringing it to another staff member’s attention another server arrived at our table and service vastly improved. Food was fine and plentiful but very average overall. There was no barista that day so no espresso drinks could be ordered from the menu.

Property is a pretty big sprawl especially if you're in building 6. Rooms were interesting, roomy but with basically no furniture that you'd normally see in a hotel. One bed, one desk chair, and that's it. It just seems out of place in an otherwise very large room, seems like furniture is missing. Condition was nice and clean, amenities seemed nice for the price. Service was good, would stay again.
