"A boutique hotel stay in the heart of Solvang."
While we've stayed in Solvang about a dozen times, this was our first time at the Landsby. We have had many great experiences with other hotels in Solvang -- and have grown to love one in particular -- but were excited try something new. Front staff were professional and check-in process was easy enough. They actually give you a set of metal keys for your room which is sort of fun and different and supportive of the boutique experience they aim to provide. The room itself was nice but not overly spacious or accommodating. It's clear this building was recently renovated and attention was paid to a refinished, upgraded look. Some dating is still evident however. I do have to say that the bed, and the pillows, were extremely comfortable. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. While good service and atmosphere, we found both to be pricier than expected ($8 for a side of 2 eggs!). The restaurant does have a very cool bar looking out onto the main street of Solvang. I'll likely be back to visit the bar! Heads-up to those with coolers for wine - There's also no self-serve ice machines in the hotel. The front office staff were very accommodating, however, and were happy to deliver several small hotel-sized ice bags to us. I good stay that we don't regret, but not sure that we gleaned either the value or experience from our stay to where we'll be back, particularly given our knowledge of some of the competitors in Solvang.

"The Best in Solvang!"
My wife and I have stayed at Hadsten House about a dozen times now. We absolutely love it and have concluded it as the best stay in Solvang! In fact, on this particular trip we took a road trip from San Diego to northern California and stayed in Solvang twice; once on the way up and again on the way back. My wife had been lured by another somewhat new and seemingly chic hotel in Solvang, and we decided to give it a try on the way up. It was a good stay, but nowhere near the value, comfort, amenities and experience of Hadsten House. We returned to Hadsten House for our second night on the way home. Spacious, well-appointed rooms, clean and vibrant, comfy beds and pillows. They have a great indoor pool with adjoining outdoor spa. The indoor nature of the pool limits any noise. I believe each room also has an electric fireplace, which is a nice touch. While a quick online comparison will show the value of the Hadsten House from a cost standpoint, the phenomenal daily COMPLIMENTARY breakfast, excellent onsite restaurant, overall amenities and comfort lead Hadsten House to the top of value and experience in our opinion!

Wine Valley Inn

It's a pretty nice place except that the bathroom shower doesn't drain that well. Also, if possible, get the room upstairs with two floors (living room below and bed on the upper level). It's really cool! Definitely a great place to spend with your significant other :p

Newly remodeled room. Clean. Closed to freeway and restaurants. Nice staffs. Only thing I didn't like was, the noise from the swimming pool and the kids were running and slamming the door. Breakfast was ok.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Solvang hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
