We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back! The cabin was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, cozy, and surrounded by peaceful forest views. Having lake access made our stay even more special, whether it was relaxing by the water or taking in the quiet scenery. One of the highlights was the spa. The sauna, cold plunge, and wellness spaces were the perfect way to unwind after spending time outdoors. Everything about the property encourages you to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful cabins, lake access, and wonderful spa amenities, Vanderkamp is the perfect destination. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit!

This was in Syracuse but it wasn’t grand. We got in late at night so I didn’t see how run down this hotel was. The bathroom floor looked like there was some kind of flood in there. There was mud residue on the floor and the curtains were tattered and the place looked shabby in the morning. However the staff was very nice.

We had an extremely loud window air conditioner sitting in our room vented to the outside taking up a lot of space. Our door didn’t close properly though we were able to get it locked. Nearly all the tables in the breakfast room were dirty when we went in at 7:30. Breakfast was pretty low end with some really rubbery eggs. They only clean the rooms and change towels every 3 days which they said was for ecological reasons but it seemed like it was to save them money by not having as many employees. The staff seemed much more interested in chatting with each other than to the guests. Overall, we were not impressed.
