We liked: The absolute oceanfront 2 bed room huge unit. It has been decorated nicely with very comfy furniture and island style furnishings. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean. The large fridge/freezer. Birdies, the restaurant is a great place for a stay-in dinner. The resort has a nice feel to it with lots tropical planting around to give each unit privacy. There is a small but clean swimming pool right next to the restaurant. Snorkelling is amazing off the jetty is just amazing with a variety of fish ( just as good as Top Rock). We discovered: - the main shower/bathroom is not very clean. Hand wash liquid finished within a day and not replenished after their housekeeping ( which is every 3 days). - the washing machine was full of mould and obviously hasn’t had a clean st all. It was absolutely disgusting! - bedding/sheets/towels have stains on them. Overall, we are still happy with our over $500NZ night stay for 4 of us.

The property has a nice view of the bay. If you are wanting a secluded area this is it, not very much around. Most of the time music was blaring from the reception area, song playing on repeat for days. The staff won’t turn it down even when they can’t hear you asking a question, this matched with building noises. The studio apartment was small, dusty and in desperate need for some cleaning chemicals. The property is quite old, however has most things you need. All of the cups were stained and I felt gross drinking out of them. Staff are okay however seem off with the fairies and appear annoyed most of the time. Sheets had stains, towels very old. Bring your own! Place covered in ants.

We stayed at Troppo Mystique for eight nights with our two kids (10 and 13), and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived, Annie and Garry made us feel completely at home. They were so warm and welcoming, always checking in to see what we'd been up to and whether we needed anything. Their genuine hospitality made our holiday extra special. We also loved their four friendly dogs. We stayed in the self-contained two-bedroom garden villa, which was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a gas cooktop and air fryer. The property felt like a peaceful tropical oasis, tucked behind a unique gate painted with palm trees that always made us smile when we returned each day. The location is fantastic, right on Erakor Lagoon in Erakor Village, with Port Vila only 15 minutes away. We loved being able to snorkel, paddleboard, kayak and fish in the lagoon straight out the front of the property, and having Erakor Island Resort just across the lagoon meant we could easily head over for a massage, sunset drinks or dinner. Troppo Mystique truly felt like a home away from home. Between the peaceful setting, fantastic location, Annie and Garry's wonderful hospitality, and the friendly dogs, it was one of our favourite family holidays. We'd happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vanuatu.
