The staff were all very friendly and accommodating from the start! The historic hotel has been completed remodeled and is flawlessly gorgeous!! The rooms were very light, modern and comfortable. The king bed was great and the walk in showers was wonderful with perfect water temps and pressure. In room safe and mini fridge were an added bonus! The outdoor pool was small, but lovely with a wading deck on one side with several in-pool lounging chairs to beat the heat! Within easy walking distance of the aquarium ( next door), as well as several good restaurants: Half Shell Oyster House, Tony’s Brick Oven Pizza and the Downtowner Diner. There were several other restaurants and bars in that immediate area that we did not get to this time. Lovely views from our 6th floor room. The hotel even offered free drink tokens that we could use for either bar drinks or coffees at several places in the hotel. We really were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and will definitely stay here again!!

My initial reaction to the Casino was how good it smelled. The Staff was Excellent, Helpful and Friendly. The room was Exactly what I expected. I could see the entire Bay Area from my 17th floor Double Queen Room. The Ami Pizza has the Best Margherita Pizza!

Nice little home that’s located close to downtown. It was great for what we needed. It is not handicapped friendly, tho. Currently (May 2026), there is a high 1-step front door entry that could be easily fixed with a sturdy second platform step up from the nice front porch to make it easier to get in and out. It also has a nice upgraded single bathroom, but the claw tub is deep without a handrail and no suction in-tub bath mat to keep a person from falling. The rain shower is great however. Kitchen has good amenities, and the dining and living room areas are nice. Good amount of seating, large TV. Overall, for an older home, it’s nice and, a big plus, it doesn’t have a musty smell.

I love that the bathrooms are right outside the gate. The gate also always has an attendant. It makes children safer. There is no hidden areas within the fenced 3 acres. Allowing your young teen some freedom and you relaxation. The kid suite are 100% worth it!!!!

It was so much fun staying at Gil’s with my family! We enjoyed the dock and water! We fished and walked around! It was beautiful and so much fun!
