It would have been very helpful to know that the “lanai rooms” do not have a window to the outside!! We had a sliding glass door to the indoor pool which is basically in the lobby adjacent area. So you get chlorine smell and no outside view. There was also a kids birthday pool party which ran well last 11pm which is exhausting when you’ve been awake for 36+ hours. At least we were able to check in early and the bar staff was nice. The front desk staff was very indifferent. We got our cookies and parking was free, but this was the strangest DoubleTree ever and I wouldn’t want to stay there again.

Why pay 3.00 for a cup of coffee when I can get one larger for 5.00 what I want down the road. We didnt use the pool, hot tub, and stsy one night. You have to be a rewards nember to even drink the bottled water in the room or they charge you 3.00 each. Come on, really? Plus you pay for breatfast.

Friendly staff

Appears they are renovating so not holding that against them but they could do a better job of deep cleaning common guest areas like vacuuming the lobby etc. Staff was friendly although not present at the desk much on the late PM after midnight shift.

Near shops and restaurants which is positive. Only one elevator which made it very inconvenient for our room which was on the opposite side of the building's elevator. Pool area was extremely noisy. Everything appeared rundown. For example... Apparently, a pipe broke on the 1st floor, so the whole front lobby area had peeling wallpaper - which we're sure they were in the process of replacing. Unfortunately, the front lobby appeared spartan and uninviting.
