Within the first 24hr of our stay, we experienced a number of issues which ultimately resulted in us leaving after one night (booked for 4 nights). - the day before checking in, we received a message stating that the property was trying to charge our card for the whole booking even though we had already booked and paid in full through Expedia. Luckily the bank rejected the payment and we resolved the issue with the property. -upon arrival, we noticed a lot of damage to the room. looks like water damage, missing lights, fans not working and door handles falling off. - we were locked out 2x times on our first day. The property uses an app that creates a code on the lock. This didn’t work the first time and WAS CONFIRMED TO BE MALFUNCTIONING and needed to be re programmed. The 2nd time we were locked out at 9:30pm at night. There is no front desk worker however there was a maintenance person who was eventually able to let us in. This was stressful. - that same night there was a big party above us and went on until 3am. My wife and I didn’t sleep much that night. - due to these two issues on the first night we decided to leave and request a refund. The property denied it however said, if they could recoup their money from the party people above us through their security deposit, they would refund us. They never did but offered us 100$ for the inconvenience which we never received. Will never book a Kristy Collection property again after being treated this bad.

When we arrived, everyone was friendly. After the first day it was as if we were a burden. Our ceiling in our bathroom was leaking so we had to keep towels on the floor to avoid falling. Mold was all over the bathroom as well and a chipped tile you had to avoid in the entry to the shower. Let the front desk know about the leak in the bathroom 1 st day. The 3rd night the bathroom exhaust fan fell out of the ceiling. Told guest services they said someone would come to fix that. So, we left for dinner outside the resort as the food was terrible at the resort. We came back the fan was not fixed. I tried not to be in the room as the mold was to much. My husband went to get ice in the morning that was an ordeal to say the least. By the last night our air condition started to leak on the bed. I called to report and no one ever addressed it. We went to flip our pillows to the end of the bed so not to sleep on the wet end for the night and found the whole end of the mattress was moldy because the a/c must have leaked b4 and they basically turned the mattress around. Piece of the ceiling in the bar area fell they left it on the floor the whole week. They tried to sell their club but with horrible food and no upkeep who would want to buy into that not knowing what the other resorts look like. I based my trip on a past Viva Wyndam experience that was good however this is not even close to the same. There are serious health and safety issues in this resort that need addressing.
