It was a great stay. There was no problem with the room except a brief period when the electric was cutting on and off. That was a hotel wide issue and I don’t know how, but it was resolved quickly. The bed was a little soft for me (in that always a subjective view?), but not enough for me to not get a good night’s sleep. We felt safe at the location. There are quite a few food options from pizza delivery to a sit-down steakhouse available in the close vicinity. I would recommend staying here.
The rooms have been recently updated and are nice. The lobby is still under construction but very clean.

It was fine. Nothing spectacular but we just needed a place to sleep. There was a dirty wipe behind the bathroom door. Also, no elevator and under renovation so we had to drag all of our luggage up the stairs. That was the worst. Breakfast was mediocre at best.
Let me start with a positive. Jon checked us in and he was very accommodating when our first room smelled like an ashed tray. That’s where it ends. The pillows were torture devices. You should definitely bring your own unless you like lumpy things in your neck all night long. If you like a stiff bed, like one level up from sleeping on the floor then you will be okay. The housekeeping is definitely lacking here. The walls of the bathroom were dirty and there was blood on the door as we walked into our room. I have been staying in Raton for decades on our way to Vail and I promise you it is worth it to spend the extra money for the Quality Inn across the street.
The company should value John for his great customer service or this would be a one star across the board!
Found several spiders, room was musty, trash left behind, faucet handle on sink broken…I can go on and on. We travel often and this was the most disgraceful place we’ve ever stayed. I feel unclean thinking about our room.
The door handle fell off the bathroom door and I was locked in the bathroom for 15 minutes !! I had a wooden brush and I was banging on the walls and screaming and someone yelled he would go to front desk for help … after help came she said she didn’t hv a key to my door since I locked the door on top … I gathered the parts and put the handle , inner metal part and spring and got it to unlock the door … my blood pressure was thru the roof !! Newly renovated but that was really scary that the handle flew off like that!!
After my husband reserved our room, I read some reviews that worried me. We had just left a hotel from Hell in Roswell, and I was looking forward to a decent room. I was very happy with our room except for the squeaky bed and musty odor in the room. The room was very clean, mattress and pillows comfy. Nice products in the bathroom, towels very clean and looked new. They even had the good TP in the bathroom. Lol I would stay here again even with the squeaky bed and musty smell. Spray some air freshener and sit on the bed very gently. Lol
