Rand Rifles Vacation Packages

I have paid for the hostel but didn't realize that they don't have reception or anyone working after 8pm. I rang the door bell and called multiple times when I arrived but nobody answered. I couldn't check in and had to book another place last minute. I asked if I could get a credit for the night but they still charged me and wouldn't refund me for the booking and said it was my fault because I didn't notify them that I'll arrive after 8pm. I find the hostel is profit minded and doesn't have the best interest of guests in mind.

The Iris restaurant has a great view of the lagoon, great for sundowners. There is a lot of traffic noise, as the BnB is situated on the main road.

A high quality hotel. Well presented, clean and with a feel of luxury. Staff who greeted us and the lady who prepared breakfast were very professional and cheerful. Breakfast was a mix of hot and cold with a wide choice to pick from. Height recommend this small hotel.

Close to town but still quiet

Extraordinary accommodations and service. Wonderful and friendly staff, excellent local knowledge, high quality breakfast, secure gate, relaxing courtyards, convenient location. They treated us like royalty.

A very good hotel, but disappointing extra charges The Strand Hotel is probably the best hotel in Swakopmund, with a great location and very good service overall. However, our stay was overshadowed by an additional charge that felt opportunistic. I mistakenly booked our suite for one person rather than two. While I accept that this was my error, the extra charge of almost US$100 per night for the second guest felt excessive, particularly as we were already paying for a suite. It left a sour taste and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. Breakfast was decent, but dinner was disappointing and overpriced. Overall, there is plenty to like about the hotel, especially its location and staff, but the additional occupancy charge and poor-value dinner made the experience less satisfying than it should have been.

A bit of mold in the bathroom but still acceptable. The balcony lock was broken but they managed to fix it in a timely manner. The staffs were all super friendly, especially the laundry lady. We asked if a trousers can be ironed by tomorrow morning. Normally it would takes a day, but she went above and beyond.
